Super Mario is the fictional main character in the popular Super Mario Brothers video game that was created by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo for its Family Computer or Nintendo Entertainment System video game consoles. Because of his popularity, the Mario character has been featured in more than 200 video games in various genres, such as sports games, role-playing, puzzle, fighting, and racing, although he is most popular in platform games.
Super Mario is shown as a short and plump plumber who is Italian-American and is a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom. This kingdom is ruled by a monarchy and Princess Peach is the heir to the throne. In the game Super Mario Brothers, Mario is joined by his brother Luigi and their goal is to save Princess Peach from the villain, Bowser. There are eight worlds with each world divided into four sub-levels. The fourth sub-level is always located in a castle where Mario or Luigi has to fight King Koopa, who turns out to be fake, until they reach the eighth world where they fight the genuine King Koopa.
Mario, which also became the mascot for Nintendo, is always shown wearing a red cap with the letter M in front. He has big eyes, a mustache, and a big oblong-shaped nose. He wears a red long-sleeves shirt, blue overalls, and white gloves. Therefore, Super Mario costumes are often composed of a red cap, mustache, gloves, long-sleeved red shirt, blue overalls, and boots.
The Super Mario costumes can be used by both adults and children during Halloween. For the red cap, which is the most important part of the costume, you can save some money by getting a simple red cap. You then get a piece of white paper and cut out a circle with a size that would fit on the front part of the cap. The next step is to draw the letter M on the paper and then sew it on the cap.
The long-sleeved red shirt and gloves are easy to find in a department store. You can use a fabric pen to include the stripes on the gloves. For the mustache, you can buy a fake mustache or grow a real mustache. Of course, you can always find an online store offering the various components of the Super Mario costume, such as the cap, red shirt, blue overalls, white gloves, and mustache. The shoes can be the usual black or brown leather shoes.
